ARE YOU TAGGING YOUR PRODUCTS ON FACEBOOK?
Start Tagging Your Products on Facebook and Create Your Very Own Shop – on Facebook!
How to tag a product:
1. Create your post
2. Insert an image of your product
3. Click on the image – 2 icons appear – click on the SUITCASE ICON
4. This will bring up a large version of your image, ready for tagging
5. Click anywhere on your photo to tag your products. You can tag multiple products.
6. Type in the product name
7. Click on NEW PRODUCT and fill in the required details in the dialog box.
8. If you have more than one product repeat the process.
9. Then hit SAVE.
10. YOU HAVE YOUR SHOP!
When you tag and add a product Facebook creates a shop section for your page. You can then edit and manage your products within your shop.
Notes
- You can have up to 30 tagged products in your shop.
- Be sure to read the Merchant Terms and Policies – the link is at the bottom of the Add Product dialog box.
For the purposes of this post I used an image of my Instagram Hashtags Guide, which is a downloadable pdf file. Unfortunately you cannot include either downloadable pdfs or free items in your shop 🙁

HOW TO MANUALLY SET UP A SHOP ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE
- Go to your page SETTINGS
- Click on EDIT PAGE
- Under Tabs Section click on ADD A TAB
- Add the SHOP tab and close the dialog box
- Click on the Shop Settings tab
- Click on SAVE
- A URL to the new shop on your page will automatically be added.
- Go your home page and click on the SHOP TAB (left of screen)
- Make your selection and agree to T&Cs
- Then follow the prompts.
- You can choose whether to CHECK OUT at your Facebook page or at your website!
